Welcome to Hotel Casa Cue
Hotel Casa Cue, nestled in the heart of Oaxaca de Juarez’s vibrant Centro district, offers an authentic stay for travelers seeking comfort amidst a bustling cultural backdrop. With a solid rating of 3.9, this hotel balances practicality with local charm. Though the building’s exterior may appear worn, guests will find spacious, well-maintained rooms that prioritize cleanliness and tranquility. Large soundproof windows mitigate much of the street noise, allowing for restful nights despite the lively market sounds nearby—a minor trade-off for waking up in a neighborhood steeped in history and life.
Located on Aldama Street near Zona Feb 10, Hotel Casa Cue places visitors within easy reach of key attractions such as the baroque Santo Domingo Church and the Museo de las Culturas de Oaxaca. The busy Mercado 20 de Noviembre, famed for its street food stalls, adds to the authentic Oaxacan experience right at the doorstep. This connection to local culture makes the hotel ideal for visitors eager to explore Oaxaca's vibrant traditions and culinary delights.
Though amenities are modest, they cover essential needs: free Wi-Fi, breakfast service, parking, air conditioning, laundry facilities, and a pet- and kid-friendly environment. The absence of a pool, restaurant, airport shuttle, or fitness center underscores its straightforward, no-frills appeal, focusing instead on providing a clean, comfortable base for cultural exploration rather than luxury indulgence.
Hotel Casa Cue exudes a quiet dignity beneath its aged facade. It embraces imperfection with honest hospitality, making it a grounding choice for those who value genuine local immersion over polished extravagance. While the slow internet speed may frustrate modern travelers, the hotel’s location, atmosphere, and attentive upkeep offer a sincere slice of Oaxaca life that resonates beyond mere convenience.

The outside of the building looks horrible. Inside, you will find large, comfortable rooms that are really old, but very, very clean. The wifi is pretty slow, but that's typically the case in any hotel around the area. The windows are actually soundproof, so they shut out most noise, however, you will definitely wake up at night every now and then with the market sounds. I'm a light sleeper, and I slept just fine after the first night here. The staff are very friendly, and the showers have good control of the temperature and the pressure of the water.
